International Yoga Day Celebrated in AIIMS Patna

International Yoga Day was celebrated in AIIMS Patna on 21st June. The event witnessed participation from hundreds of students, faculty members, and staff. The day began with a yoga session led by trained instructors, followed by a lecture about the benefits of practicing yoga.

Yoga, an ancient form of exercise and meditation, has been gaining popularity worldwide due to its numerous health benefits. In 2015, the United Nations declared June 21st as International Yoga Day to promote physical and mental wellness across the globe. Since then, this day is celebrated annually with great enthusiasm in various countries.

This year, AIIMS Patna also joined in the celebration of International Yoga Day by organizing a series of events and activities on June 21st. AIIMS Patna Director Prof.(Dr.) Gopal Krushna Pal said in his address that Yoga is an integral part of Indian culture, which can be traced back to more than five thousand years ago. He emphasized the importance of the regular practice of yoga and how it can help maintain good health both physically and mentally.

The celebration of International Yoga Day at AIIMS Patna was a great success. The event showcased the significance of yoga in maintaining physical and mental well-being.
