Literacy and Quality of Education

Just like any other ordinary day, The international Literacy Date also has gone recently with out making even 0.000001 percentage impact on implementing any projects or any mission for any public awareness in most of the states  in India. If citizens have to demand  for those facilities and improvements in their standard of living they deserve, they should obviously need to communicate with this vast world.

We could not able to blame the Government,  Central or State as the entire culprits for lacking even 90 percentage Literacy rate for more than half of Indian  states. Its well known that he mother will give only milk to those babies who craves for it. In India there was a time in ancient days, the times of great Universities like Nalanda and Takshashila, even though the Universities got ruined, its wisdom endures and the mere reason is the never ending thirst exhibited by those students that  time to acquire and preserve Knowledge in its highest possible form of Wisdom whose transitions reflects as a light even in this time to the entire modern world.

As a super sonic developing country with much Manpower resources my question is whether it is enough to have a Literacy mission merely can bring any change in quality of man power and the answer is always a big NO. This is because Literacy is only a bridge to the vast ocean of knowledge and the concept is just outdated to this massive information age.Our privilege should be able to demand more in the system of Education. Its very hopeful for all the citizens in India to know, the Government have approved in the cabinet the 'National education policy 2020.The New Educational Policy have revolutionary changes in its format of implementation which  are extremely outstanding and eliminates the problems in the present outdated educational policy which was actually implemented long back to 1986 with out any considerable updation for decades.

If we analyse the outdated present education system,  it will correlates well with the story based on jungle. In that story, there was a competition held in jungle between monkey and fish. Both of them have told to climb a tree and whoever can  climb the tree first will be the winner. This is the same what we follow in the present education system, judging every  one with a single set of parameters. Likewise in the story,  the moneys would be the winner always and the fishes even though talented themselves in some other way will be the losers lifelong without any chance to confront their talents.More to tell, whatever a student learns in the high school may not be their subjects to focus for their higher secondary and further may not be the subjects they opt in Graduation and may not be necessary to evolve as a profession on the same subject of graduation they have completed.

If the Government can implement the New Education System 2020 practically well, then ours will be a country with superior quality human resource after 2 decades .And always the Teachers need to remember one thing that as the Finger prints are different to different individuals,  so like the students talents. Its upon the attitude and talents of the present teachers that will determine the life and the quality of man power resources  of the Future India.
