My pregnancy adventures at night

Night
is the best time for a walk during pregnancy in my experience.
It is as if I turn invisible in the camouflage created by the surrounding darkness even though it is not true in reality as the night sky is clearer than days in Ireland and the streets are all well lit up. I love the crispy clear and cold nights with occasional showers as I walk feeling the cold air entering and leaving my lungs thus rejuvenating the souls of both myself and my unborn baby as we leave all the burdens and tiredness of the day outside somewhere in an imaginary trash bin situated at the end of the pavement. I have never been a fitness freak except during my pregnancies as I know that I would not be able to shred my extra pounds away post childbirth due to the same lack of interest in fitness regimes. All I am careful now about is not to gain extra pounds of weight which I don’t require at the minute. That is how I started my walks at night again as I used to do with my firstborn baby. The moon, stars, the grey sky, the city lights, light showers, cold breeze, and the occasional passing of vehicles, and the never-ending talks of my husband and daughter walking alongside all feel like a beautiful poem etched on the walls of my heart. I feel detached from the rest of the world and walk as if I walk in a dream and often converse with God if my fellow pedestrians keep quiet. I forget about the baby in my womb and turn once again to that little girl who always loved the nights and desired to travel during nights.  Yes, my baby and I love these nightly adventures every day.
